Refund Policy

At Alexandra D Photo, my goal is to provide a personalized and high-quality photography experience for every client. Because each session involves reserving a specific date, preparing for your event, and dedicating time and resources in advance, I’ve created the following refund policy to ensure fairness and transparency.
1. Retainers and Booking Fees

The retainer and/or booking fee is 20% of your total.

All retainers or booking fees are non-refundable.

The retainer secures your session date and time and compensates for the work and preparation that begin immediately after booking.

A session is not confirmed until the signed contract and retainer payment have both been received.
2. Cancellations

If you cancel your session or event, your retainer cannot be refunded.

Depending on availability, your retainer may be transferred to a new date if rescheduling is requested at least 5 days in advance.

Cancellations made less than 5 days prior to the session forfeit all payments made to date.
3. Rescheduling

Reschedules due to weather, illness, or emergencies are handled on a case-by-case basis.

Alexandra D Photo will make every reasonable effort to accommodate a new date at no additional charge.

If a mutually agreeable date cannot be found, the retainer remains non-refundable.
4. Refunds After Services Are Rendered

Once photography services have been performed and images delivered, no refunds or partial refunds are available.

Photography is an art form, and while I strive to exceed expectations, artistic style and editing preferences are subjective.
5. Event Cancellations by Photographer

In the rare event that Alexandra D Photo must cancel due to illness, emergency, or circumstances beyond control (e.g., equipment failure, natural disaster), all payments received, including retainers, will be refunded in full.

Alternatively, you may be offered the option of a qualified replacement photographer to complete the event at no additional cost.
6. Product Orders

Due to the custom nature of photography products (albums, prints, canvases, etc.), all sales are final.

Please review all proofs carefully before approving final orders.
7. Late or Missing Refunds (if applicable)
If a refund is issued, it will be processed using your original payment method within 5–10 business days. If you haven’t received a refund after that time, please contact your bank or payment provider for assistance.
